Menopause Café Sessions in Reading — Every 1st and 3rd Friday
What Happens at a Session?
CHC Menopause Café sessions are the heart of what we do. They are regular, welcoming, community-led gatherings in Reading where women can come together to talk openly about menopause, perimenopause, hormonal changes, emotional wellbeing, and the realities of midlife.
These sessions are not therapy groups, medical clinics, or structured workshops. They are something simpler and many women tell us more powerful than any of those things. An honest, human conversation held in a safe space among women who understand.
What Happens at a Session? Every CHC Menopause Café session is different because every group of women is different. But the atmosphere is always the same. Warm, relaxed, and completely free from pressure.
You might arrive not quite knowing what to expect and that's completely fine. There is no set agenda, no requirement to share if you don't want to, and no right way to participate. Some women come to talk. Some come to listen. Some come simply because they want to be in a room with people who get it, and that is more than enough.
Topics that often come up include physical symptoms of menopause and perimenopause, emotional and mental health changes, navigating relationships during this time, managing menopause at work, understanding treatment and lifestyle options, and finding confidence and identity in midlife. Conversations are guided by the women in the room, not by a fixed curriculum.
Who Can Attend Our Reading Menopause Sessions?
CHC Menopause Café sessions are open to all women experiencing or approaching menopause. You do not need a referral, a diagnosis, or any prior knowledge of menopause. You simply need to want to come.
We warmly encourage women from all backgrounds and communities to attend, including women from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic communities, and women who have previously found it difficult to access menopause support.
