Community-Led Menopause Support in Reading

What Makes CHC Menopause Café Different

We are a community-led, not-for-profit Community Interest Company based in Reading, Berkshire. We exist to support women through one of life's most significant and often most misunderstood transitions, menopause and the midlife years.

We are not a medical service, a subscription box, or a wellness brand. We are a community. And at the heart of everything we do is a simple but powerful belief that no woman should have to navigate menopause alone.

Inclusive Menopause Support for All Women in Reading

In a world where menopause has increasingly become a commercial topic, we takes a different approach. We are entirely community-led, grounded in lived experience, and guided by compassion rather than commerce.

Our sessions are built around open, honest conversation. There is no agenda, no sales pitch, and no pressure to present yourself as anything other than exactly who you are. Women attend our sessions and often tell us it's the first time they've felt truly heard when talking about what they're going through.

A Not-for-Profit CIC Built Around Women's Wellbeing

Our Commitment to Inclusion Reading is one of the most culturally diverse towns in the UK and we are proud to serve its communities. We are deeply committed to ensuring that menopause support reaches women from all backgrounds, including those from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic communities, women for whom English is not a first language, and women from communities where menopause has historically been surrounded by silence or stigma.

We recognise that the menopause experience is not universal. Cultural identity, lived experience, socioeconomic background, and access to healthcare all shape how women experience this transition. Our approach is always guided by the needs of the women we serve.

We Are a CIC CHC Menopause Café is registered as a Community Interest Company, a legal structure designed for organisations that exist to benefit their community rather than generate profit. Any income we receive is reinvested directly into our work, creating more sessions, developing resources, and reaching more women across Reading and beyond.
